kawasaki zl600 - opinions....

    Anyone know anything about the 86 Kawasaki zl600's? I may have a chance to pick one up but I know nothing about them.

    I am not sure about the 600s but the 900s and 1000s motors were based off the ninja platform . I really like the looks of the eliminator

    Yeah based on my research it's got an 86 ninja 600 motor. But spec wise the only real difference between it and my XJ is the water cooling.

    Plus this one needs some work and parts seem to be hard to get or $$$. The warning lights in the headlight bucket is cool though.

    I love the eliminators, my friend had the zl900 and that was a rocket. The 600 should be fun aswell. Parts may be a bit hard to find, but I'm sure they are out there. If its not in too bad of shape (should at least check the compression) I'd go for it.

    I opted not to get it.

    It was part of a possible trade with a ruger rifle for my Jeep. The jeep maybe old, and ugly but it runs well, is heavily modified and I have tons of spare parts for it.

    Couldn't let it go for what would have been about $600 worth of stuff. I've got atleast that in NEW parts I haven't found time to get on the Jeep.
