    Whats the best way to store a good, clean and synced extra set of carbs when :?: not in use so that it can be swaped out whenever needed?

    Get some of those "dessicant packs" like come packed with electronic equipment or shoes. Lightly spray down the outside with a good penetrant, and wrap the rack in a soft towel. Add the dessicant packs and seal it in a plastic bag. At least that's what I do.

    You do realize that once swapped, you will need to re-vacuum sync, right? Because the cylinders won't be in exactly the same state of tune as they were when they came off...

    You might have to resync to be perfect but I bet they would be close enough to get to work or something in an emergency if your other carbs messed up... Good idea now to find a 2nd rack

    My XJ is my only source of transpo, Id love to find a parts bike cheap. In the meantime I stay within a 100mi radius so AAA can tow if I have a problem.

    I like this 2nd rack idea for emergency 10min swap no go...
