Will this fit the triple backbone on the 80 xj650? I love the look of the tank and if the front mounts fit, it would be a sweet tank!

I like the look of the tank. Where did you get it from and what was the cost?

I have a 83 Maxim 650 and I am thinking really hard about another tank as well. Also conceder the petcock. Where is the petcock located on this tank?

I know on the Maxim the bars in which the tank rest upon is more of a 45 degree angle. With that tank will it be level?

    Which tank?...

I don't own either, I'm trying to source parts to build a cafe racer and wanted to see if anyone has anything to add or help.

Get a photo of the channel and request measurements. Compare with stock XJ. Worse case get a hammer an cutting wheel, some sheet metal and a welder and make it fit.

It's not super easy but not too hard either. I just did this with a small channel tank to mount on an SR 500.
