    Just like the subject says:

It idles good at about 1100, give it a little bit of gas and it drops right back to idle, but when you give it mid to high amounts of throttle, it stays revved up for a few seconds maybe 5-10 unless you pop it up a gear then it drops down.

Any clues on what could cause this?

    Thanks,
    Nick

vac leak, sticky CV slides are two possible culprits. There's a few others I could dream up but they're farther fetched and not worth mentioning until checking out those two basics.

Well everything on those bad boys is new parts so I don't think there is a vacuum leak, stick slides is probably worth checking out though. I believe somebody said in another post to clean them up with some sand paper. I did the clunk test and they passed that just fine but I did notice that when they are in the carb, #4 hangs up a little once in a while. It is worth checking out I suppose.

Got to work that number 4.

Buuuuuuuut could be a sync issue. Could be a vac leak like stated. Could be your mixture is off, etc.

I have noticed that when I tinker with the carb sync screws that it changes. So maybe it is just a sync issue or a combination of things. Im going to try to sync them up. Is there a way to kind of sync them up while they are on the bike? It is completely stock, nothing aftermarket at all.

You don't "kind of" sync them up on the bike; that IS the final step in carb sync: a running vacuum sync. With YICS blocked, if applicable. A bench sync is only a starting point; but you also need to check the float levels.

AFTER you put the valve clearances in spec.
