Search the forum archives and you'll find a lengthy thread on the tire question.

FWIW, I recently installed Bridgestone Battlax BT45's on my baby Seca and am very happy with them so far.

After trying several others for the last 15 years, I've found these two to be the best picks: Front and rear

With these tires on a set of skinny XJ wheels, a 4.00X18 has slightly better handling and is usually a few bucks cheaper than the 120X18.

I'd agree with Bosozoku on the Metzlers. I switched from Dunlops on my Shadow and the new Metzlers stick like glue on the corners, don't pull around when changing lanes from uneven pavement, and I get alot better mileage out of them.

I would stick to bias ply tires for the older vintage rides. I always had fantastic luck with the Continental K112 (rear) and RB2 (front) on my '81 Seca.
I just bought a set for it not long ago, I'm pretty sure they are still available.
I used these in the late 70's on my old CB750 as well....great rain tire, excellent grip. When they do slide, they are very predictable.

    Just my .02
