anybody know which petcocks would work for a maxim 650? I'm looking to replace my petcock because it isn't working properly.

also i didn't want to buy a vacuum operated petcock, i wanted a standard one with an Off/on/reserve switch, rather than my current (Stock) on/prime/reserve

Does the XS 650 petcock fit the maxim 650?

Petcock tech: http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=25058.html which shows how the stock one works, and how to rebuild it. At the end of the article are pics of replacement choices, including "moderne" vacuum-op units and a simple on/off unit; all available from XJ4Ever our resident XJ parts guru, as are the rebuild kits.
