Middle Gear Oil Seal

    I can't quite tell from just reading the Haynes, can you replace the Middle Gear Oil Seal without cracking open the case? It sure looks like you can because the shaft is split just inside the case, but I don't want to get all up in it and find out otherwise. It looks like you just unbolt and slide off the splined shaft, replace the seal, and reassemble.

    Same goes for the alternator oil seal, I can't seem to find in the manual where to replace it, though from what I understand I'll need to remove the rotor.

    sounds feasible but it's not going to be easy to get at even with the swingarm off, i don't remember it being right there when the flange comes off, i think it's kind of up in there
