So I have completed my Atari removal and have just about everything up and going except the neutral indicator light. My bike is an 81' XJ750. I ran across this post regarding the Atari removal:

    http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=21580/highlight=atari.html

This post says " (don't forget the current limiting resistor) if you want to retain the blinker, neutral, high beam indicators."

I have signal indicators that work great (I added diodes and combined them into a single indicator) and my high beam indicator works, but as my electrical skills are severally lacking I can't figure out how to get the neutral light indicator to work. I have the right Br Sb (brown and light blue) connections and have tested a known working light in the connection.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Are you trying to hook all these up to a new speedo/tach unit?

If so, what does your Neutral indicator expect to see to turn the light on? Ground or 12V?

Just using the stock lights, nothing new yet. I found an old Honda speedo and the stock lights fit directly into the indicator slots.

Not much could be wrong with it, other than the neutral switch went bad somehow, does it check out ok with an ohm meter?

I'll get one on it. I guess I was just confused about the (don't forget the current limiting resistor) comment in the Atari removal post. I'll give my connections another good look over.

    Thanks for the response.
