Ok. The question begs to be asked. How did it get up there in the first place?

Friend of mine bought a bike in boxes and took it down into his basement apartment. It was never clear if he was just putting everything down there til he found a suitable place to put it together or he always intended to work on it there. Either way, he started tinkering... "Hmmmm... Let's just put the wheels on the frame. Nice! Seat looks cool... I sure like these fenders...." Next thing you know, he had the bike completely assembled in his basement apartment. He even fired it up a couple times, with the windows open of course! He's not dumb...

Anyway... Guess who got a call when he wanted to drag the stupid thing up the stairs...

So the year was 1896, there was this guy named Henry Ford. He had been working on his marvelous new invention, a "horseless carriage" called the Quadricyle, in the tiny workshop behind his mother's house on Bagley Street in Detroit. Go figure--- when he got it finished, it wouldn't fit through the doorway. (The doorway lost.)

My point being: you aren't be the first guy that did that to himself...
