    I don't know of any actual recalls, but i do know the stock fuse boxes are problematic, and brake shoe delamination is a common safety issue.

    YEA! The gas tank. They are infamous for random combustion. Not safe at all, could blow at any moment. You better send it to me! I'll make sure it is dealt with properly.

    There WERE dealer "service notes" on various issues, the most common being rust in the gas tanks. But other than that, 1982 was not really a time when anyone did a "recall" on a motorcycle. That didn't really come about until after the 3-wheeler ATV debacle.

    Because it holds more gas than the 650. And is pretty much a direct bold on replacement.

    I'm looking for t he same thing, a 750 tank for my 650. Going to Tennessee next month and it'd be nice to have the extra miles.

    There was a recall for 1981's with a yellow aux light lens, to be replaced by a clear lens. Don't know if that was only in Canada or not tho.
