^^Thanks! She stays covered in the garage most of the time...has just short of 18,000 miles.

These days, when I ride it I can't stop thinking "dang...it won't go!"

next is "holy smoke...it won't stop!!!" hahaha!

    Thanks for the welcome!

Yea, I've gone thru quite a few bikes in the last 25 yrs, the Busa does everything I need a bike to do. I'll keep the Seca tho...just too many great memories!

    That's clearly a doctored photo - everyone knows you can't wheelie a shaftie ;)

    550's chain drive...sorry!
Gorgeous bike! You've kept it in good shape, too! Looks even better than mine. I'm jealous.
    BTW- Welcome to the site!

Hummmm, wonder where you possibly could have heard that? My old Seca 750 would wheelie for blocks as will my Maxim 1100 and Vmax, all shaft drive?

How about this one, Oh and it's not me.

It's actually a joke from the old OLD days or the rec.motorcycle newsgroup on Usenet. Shafties can't wheelie, and shafties don't countersteer. Thus the smilies in my previous posts. All in fun.

I've heard that the V-Max was a PITA to raise the front wheel on, but once you could, say with the aid of a dip in the road, you could ride it for miles. I know my friend never wheelied his, just smoked the tires and took off like a bat out of hell. I miss the sound of that bike.

Personally, I was never good at wheelies on my BMX bike. I'm quite happy to keep both wheels of my Seca on the ground.

Oh, and that Goldwing is nuts.

 I figured you were kiddin, I just wanted to play on it, Oh and Vmax's wheelie nicely. They'll pull the front wheel in 2nd at 55mph and you can ride it to about 80mph. Hence

Thanks for the compliment! It doesn't look too bad for a 26 yr old bike....

Wish I knew were to get a new emblem for the side cover, one of them has lost a little of the gold plating.. oh well.
