So i will be inheriting an 82 or 83 XJ 750 Seca from a friend. Its a major basket case but i hope it will be a fun project. I have never owned or ridden a bike before but i do like to wrench around on my cars alot.

I've been looking through this site and i must say its pretty amazing. Well done guys!

I plan to turn the bike into a bobber once i get all the mechanical issues sorted out.

I'm sure i will be spending alot of time on here pouring over the information that is available. And asking lots of questions.

    Thought I'd just say hello.

    Welcome and good luck.

This is the best starting point I can think of.

Utilize our supporting vender Chacal.I spent a good
deal wasting time with dealers, supplers, phone calls
and fuel getting the wrong parts, late parts, cheep parts
that of course were exactly that-crap.

After setting up paypal I've never had a prob since.
    For instance;

    Timing chain-took 3 days
    Alt brush harness -3 days
    Rotor,stator,rectifier-3days
Just this week a clutch kit-2days-After a holliday!!!
And the parts are very well packed always quality,
and the best part is the looks you get from wrenching/riding
buddies that just spent a week looking for a part and another
week waiting to get it (hee, hee, hee :D  )
