custom xj maxim

    Hey xj fans,

    I just bought my third xj1100j but this one is different from all that I have seen. It has extended forks and still appears to be factory? The damper controls are still there and the air ride suspension is complete as well! Has anyone seen this before? Its not running yet so I am unsure about handling yet.

    I'm just curious if anyone know about maybe a factory option like this or someone simply did a great modification job -- as I mention all the systems are still there -- it just raked forward about 3 or 4 inches

    Could it be the difference between the Standard and the Special models? I should probably know this, but what year is a J? '82?
