Hi there! Just picked up an '83 XJ750 Maxim to add to the garage. Not familiar at all Maxims so I'm sure I will be browsing the site for info. I already own an older XS400 in the process of being bobbed and a newer Triumph as a daily rider so the XJ might sit for a little while before an major work. Thanks in advance for the welcome and tips!

Welcome from Mississippi, there's a vast wealth of info and help on this site.
The first things you'll want to do is check the compression, valve clearances, brakes (especially the rear) and clean-clean-clean the carbs.

Welcome from NW Arkansas! You will find more information and help here than any other place you can go. I imagine you'll even want to get another XJ just to work on it as well. So enjoy and ride on!
