My projects are starting to wind down now. I work on 1 project till i need a break from it then work on another for a while. Been trying to get the carbs sorted on the rd the past few weeks after i put all those performance parts on it bike has a little less then 5100 miles on it bike does not look bad did a bunch of polishing on it tins and frame are original paint.
The other is my 81 cm400 a utomatic always wanted 1 now i have 1 changed out the buckhorn bars for the bars that are on it now i am waiting for the grips to come in for it. 9600 miles paid $340 for it. The former owner died and it sat for 7 years.
Then i just have to polish the crank cover on the maxim x and rebuild the carbs . Then i have to decide if i want to restore or make a cafe racer out of the Suzuki water buffalo gt 750 2 stroke triple in the shed

Cutlass if you decide to make a cafe racer out of the Suzuki water buffalo keep me in mind for any parts that will fit my 73.

That Max sure looks nice Dave....you do really nice work. It looks super bright and sharp!!

I was wondering where the GT was of course.....you could always sell it to me to fund the RD's plans.......lol

i got a whim sunday and sold the gt. I bought the bike unseen had to send my brother to look at it. Come to find out the former owner runs an EBAY stop after telling me the bike was un molested never wrecked ect boy what a liar.He makes all of his parts look pretty but way overpriced. If you ever buy any parts off ebay i am warning you dont order anything from a guy in Kennesaw Ga. When they got the bike home i gave a quick looking the pics the bike had a key he told my brother it was his last key and wasn't going to let it go. He told me he had the airbox all it was was just a shell no inners no boots no side covers. He cut the upper hose the head bolts were all loose he swapped the motor and put a locked up one in it with several broke exhaust studs . he pulled all four baffles swapped the exhaust to one with road rash. Told me the 12k was original the speedo was broken soon as you moved the bike it went to 20mph all the bolts that hold all the parts on he never tightend. He even took all the front brake hydraulics off and replaced them with ones that did not work off other year bikes. The fan and shroud were gone. When i helped load it on the truck sunday i noticed he even took the headlamp bulb out. I told this to the guy that bought it he did not care he had an ugly parts bike with a rusted out frame he was gonna use the parts off his between the 2 was gonna make 1. The funny part about it was he did not need the money he is a pilot for delta my brother said his garage had shelves everywhere about 20 motors and everything else for a gt 750. I confronted the guy with an email his reply was you were gonna restore it anyway. He knew at the time i had just got out of the hospital and couldn't make 2 hr ride to look at it

But will keep my eyes open till then i am looking for something different or rare but if i run across something i wont pass it up. Thanks for the compliments on the maxim for those that do not know what it looked like before i started here is a pic.
