tailight lenses does the 85 virago or V-max fit xj's

    I have found clear and smoked leanses listed for the 85 virago and V-max but none for the maxim take a look do you guys think this would fit? I put led lights in the stock tailight but they aren't as bright as they would be with a clear or smoke lens.

    I believe the 85 virago and 700 max will intewrchange. You will need red led though

    According to the cross reference of parts CD, they're the same part number. So, I would say that you could get the cooler colored lenses.

    Capy I alreaady have the red leds as they recommend them they say white led bulbs produce a pink and not very bright light threw a red lense. They are way brighter with the lense off but only slightly brighter with it on the clear/smoke would help but then I have got to find the turn signal lenses can't do one without the other.

    all the references i have been going threw the last few days have said they will interchange also, just trying to find one cheap enough to order soon as that happens i will confirm and post pics :)

    Bringing this one back to life!

    I wanted to convert my stock turn signals and tail light housing to CLEAR, instead of amber/red. It looks like those will fit (1982 XJ650RJ) my bike. Anyone done this? I don't want to go the LED route, quite yet...I want to change the turn signals at least.

    I hate orange plastic.
