hahahah.. i like your last number the best... lol

seriously though.. in NZ $ i would like to get around 3k....

if you did buy this bike, you would need to see why the clutch is slipping ( i think new clutch)
i would replace the clutch cable also...

and the shocks... i would replace them also...

i WAS thinking of racing it in our "post classic" class and have talked to a shock expert about this idea... he has worked on them in england, so knows about them and he said around 2k for front and rear replacements..but that is top of the line "Ohlins"....

    and getting new rubbers...

I buy and sell bikes all over the world and unfortunately, the turbo never has brought "collector money".... anywhere in the world...NZ included. You could possibly post it on fleabay and get some local traffic to see it provided that you list the title with the correct wording to capture EVERY motorcyclist in NZ to at least see your listing. That will probably be your best bet unless you think that Adpost or Gumtree, the two biggest online ads in NZ would produce better?

I would probably replace the fiber plates before selling it since many "riders" wouldn't know how to fix it....it might be 50-75 bucks well spent.

I'm getting ready to do exactly the same thing with a bike I just renovated....going to buy the decals so I can get a better price for it. I expect my 70 dollars will return 10 times the investment in the long run.

    hey Jeff..
Thanks so much for this advice.. to be honest, i don't really want to sell it, but it is gathering too much dust and not enough room....

I have two Buells and a couple of race bikes that are calling me.. before the turbo even gets a look in..!
I just feel sorry for it...lol

I don't know what the Buells are but to me, if they aren't the 1125's or maybe XB12's, maybe part with one of them to make for a bit more room?

There is always the best and easiest solution.....take the cover off, check it over and RIDE IT!! Once you get the 12 pounds of boost the 83 produced giving you that "shot out of a cannon" feeling, it might check your intents for it. Of course, we could always mod it to run the 18psi my 82 is.....now THAT will get your attention when your riding it.

See AJ, you don't want to sell it......take a look at these two links from a Triples forum...where a guy was going through exactly what you are.....

The first one was edited when he decided not to sell tojo(his bike) which is featured at the top of each page.

    http://kawasakitriples.myfastforum.org/ ... t3123.html

This one is more about how tojo became part of his family..

Too funny about me naming the only two buells worth keeping over the turbo....and you have them both!!
