Anybody have any Radian parts laying around? I have a full list and this is a few of the parts needed... License plate light assembly, gas tank, tachometer and right side carb body. All of this stuff works, just replacing for cosmetic reasons. Let me know what you have. Thanks for everyone's help on this and the last one I did.

Ummm... dude. A YEAR might be helpful, the Radian actually was around for at least a couple of years and I believe might have even grown in displacement along the way... then again I could be full of it and thinking of the (ugh) Fazer instead.

You do realize the collector box is one big piece, right? I got a right purty one off a 550 (same PN although I can't vouch for exactly how much of its "guts" are left) if you're interested we could discuss it.

If by "indicator light assembly" you mean the piece with the four "idiot lights" in it, it's still available from Yamaha; pn 4KE-83530-10-00, for $86.92 according to the fiche.

LOTS of stuff still available from MamaYama if you wanna spend the buxx. I'd get on the 'Bay.

May the fiche be with you (use the fiche, Luke) http://www.yamahapartshouse.net/pages/O ... brand=YAM#

Thanks for the link. I was lucky enough to get a full exhaust from a super low mile bike off of ebay for 2 bills. Found a nice light cluster too. The gas tank I have though has a rite purddy dent in the side of it so I'd like a better one if I can find one, without taking out a 2nd mortgage. Most of the parts are the same from 86 through 90 or 91 and they all were the 600cc engine.

Cool. Then what you have there is a 600cc Maxim with a better riding position. Interesting factoid: The collector box and outside (#1 and #4) head pipes are the same part numbers (4G0-) as all the 550s; the INNER head pipes (#2 and #3) are "Radian" prefix part numbers. What's different about the inner two pipes? Does the bike have an oil cooler? Park 'em next to each other; I'd REALLY like to know what's "unique" about those two inner head pipes. Please?

Neat bikes; I was about to buy one when I found my '81 Seca 550.

The inner head pipes are joined like an h pipe about 3 inches before the collector. I'll get a pic in a minute. Mine doesn't have the oil cooler, though i may look into getting the factory parts for one.

I'd really like to come across a Radian Speedo and Tach complete and in decent shape. I'm wanting to put them onto a Seca II naked conversion project, if you end up with some left overs or something I might be able to help cut down your restoration costs a bit. I'm not looking for show winning parts just decent and functional. I've been following ebay but I'm not willing to spend $150 plus for gauges at this point in time.

Bike's looking good, I've always like the little radians although I'd love a 700 Fazer with the 5valve engine, loved that motor on my dad's maxim x.

Wow. I wonder why they felt the need to connect the #2 and #3 pipes like that, when they get "connected" in the collector box anyway.

The cams were changed in these engines to enhance midrange power and torque. They probably gained a foot pound or so by doing that.
