I finally figured out how to get some decent photos here...finally.

I made my own forward controls using parts from various parts off different bikes I've owned. I cut the rear (boat trailer) fender and framed tthe edges with some chrome edging as well as the tank rib. The risers are made in house also, just to get the feel of mini-apes, which will be going on as soon as I get them. I have a Maxim tank to replace the Seca tank, which seems kinda awkward on it now. What'd ya think?

I like it... very nice job.

I'll be doing something similar to your back end.... But on the front I want dragbars.

Would like to see some closeups of the changes you made to the bottom shock mounts.

How'd you mount the rear gaurd?

I think you'd have a good thing if you swap out the tank... not feeling the seca tank.. other than that I like it... esp the rear fender and the seat

Nice! I'd probably lose the windshield and fish finder, but that's just my preference.

How much you want for a set of those forward controls?

    Kevin,
The forward controls are just made out of brackets that are mounted to the lower engine bolts (replaced by longer bolts and spacers) and a 2 ft. piece of tubing across the front. The contols (brake lever and shift lever) are just parts from other bikes I had laying around the shop from other bikes. I used 1/4" clevis' for the front and rear of the brake lever and just extended the shifting linkage so I could still use the adjusters on each end.

These are not the best photos, but hopefully give you an idea how to make them:

The temperary risers I made out of 1" tubing:

The rear (boat trailer fender) cut and trimmed with chrome edging:

    Hope those pics help! >PD<

Oh ya, the fishfinder (good one Kevin) I think I may look into a smaller speedo/tach setup as soon as I figure out what to do with all the wires I won't be needing. I may not even use a speedo, just a tach. I will know how fast I'm going by the rpms anyway. I'll have to find a spot for my grip heater switch that's mounted under the gauges too. That mod may have to wait till next winter...I have some riding to do.

I like them right where they are at now. I never was comfortable with the "sportbike" riding position of the Seca. I'm more of a cruiser kinda guy, that's why I decided to re-do the entire bike. It's more natural for my feet to be forward when riding instead of under me. Now I find myself wanting to ride the bike alot more than before.

Nice looking bike and cool paint. I like the look of the Seca tank with the bobbed rear. Keep the windshield and put some apes that are the same height of the test bars and it will look sweet.

I thought of going with some mini apes (10' high) which would work with the cables I have now. Now I'm thinking about keeping with a more blacked out look and making longer risers and just going with my black drag bars. Then the speedo and tach housing will have to be replaced because it just looks wrong with the changes I've done so far.
