    Im in need of a (CORRECT) wiring diagram for my American 1982 XJ650J. AND, will a CDI off of an 82XJ650 SECA work on my bike? :?

    If the numbers on the TCI unit and the color of the label match; they're the same. If NOT, while it may work, it may be running a different advance curve than what was intended for your motor.

    I suspect they're going to be different because the 650 Seca ('82 only in the USA) had a pre-YICS motor; and if you have a "true" '82 Maxim, you have a YICS motor. I'm pretty sure the advance curves are different.
