Generally unnecessary; the frame "numbers" (rake/trail) are one of the things Yamaha knew how to get right. I don't think you'll find many Max owners running one; simply because there's no need.

I put a brand new continental tire on the front and that helped a LOT. Plus the Doc has me wearing a LH carpal tunnel brace and that helps too. He said I could use a wrestling cuff or whatever so my wrist doesn't go numb on me... what a ball to ride! Turns a lot of heads 8)

    Hey knock yourself out! hahahaha
Let me know what you buy and if it works, cuz I'll get one too!
Oh yeah, another thing I changed was the handlebars... it now has Yamaha Raptor 660R Bars on it and they are PERFECT comfy cruzer bars and were only 26.00 at the dealer. the 96.00 bars off a 82? [chromies] I have for sale- they're one piece. short chromy, kinda of a lean forward cafe racer bars. They're for sale! I neede cruzer bars that let me sit up straight... happy with these! 8)

PS I'll ad those bars with a picture or two into 'for sale' if spring ever gets to Oregon.
