Forced air intake system

    Can anyone see a problem with a forced air intake system with CV carbs??

    It's what Yamaha used on the XJ Turbo.

    Making sure that the carb is completely pressure-sealed may be the hardest trick to accomplish. The turbo carbs have o-rings on the choke plunger shaft, special washers on the throttle shafts, and uses an o-ringed (rather than gasketed) float bowl and intake manifolds. There's a pretty good diagram and explanation in the factory service manual for the 650 Turbo that illustrates and explains the changes to the carbs vs. normally-aspirated carbs.

    Or you could use a draw through system. Simple and effective. One carb to tune.
