ya gotta love it. I watched the Seca 750 ad. There's MORE footage of Kenny Roberts on the TZ750 (a two-stroke "F1" racebike) than there is of the bike they're trying to sell.

The only thing the TZ750 and XJ750R had in common other than two wheels was the "750."

(We weren't supposed to know the difference.) Let's see you wheelie a 750 Seca out of corners like that.

You're absolutely right Fitz but you missed something that was very hard to see unless you were BEHIND #2.....he was SLIDING the rear wheel WHILE the front wheel was in the air! When I saw that, I knew I was way outclassed!

God, I remember wanting a TZ so bad my teeth hurt....still do but the few out there are selling for more money than I could ever afford! An amazingly fast animal of a machine and KR could ride the wheels off of it, asphalt or dirt as it turned out. He wasn't one of those "no fear" guys who will ride till they wreck, no, he was just good, very very good! The accident in Japan really changed him as a racer which was a terrible result of his life-threatening wreck.

I rember back in the day, 1972 or 1973?, a Yamaha commercial with a similar theme as the one in the link below except it ended with a little kid on a big wheel watching the motorcycle fade into the distance. Then it says "Someday you'll own a Yamaha." It worked for me.
