    UPDATE: Disregard, I fixed the short circuit which was a faulty (corroded) connection under the tank.

    Already replaced the wiring harness once, seems this one also has a short. If you have one, please PM with a price. Thanks!

    I got a wiring harness off the bay im not sure what its off of.
    Its just wires the guy advertised to as xj all model but I was in it for the ignitor i could send it to you if u gave me shipping costs its in a box ready to go. i could take a pic of it or something?

    If theres some way you could tell what its from with a pic?

    I could tell. I only make em using your connectors and getting rid of most everything except what makes it run and the lights.

    looks right to me but even if its not it will work to get rid of most of the wiring and switches you dont need to get it running. Does it have the reg/rec and the tci?

    its got the rec i think i was just offerin it to the guy who needed a harness if he wants one it downs have tci. its got the crappy old fuse box!! haha.

    I'm still in need of a good wire harness. It will run and as soon as I hit a bump on a ride or the bike get's jarred when I take it off the stand the bike dies...and sometimes it will not start unless I wiggle the wire bundle. seems there is a short in the main bundle below the tank.Anyone know which wire is suspect and perhaps I can bypass it to test and/or permanently fix the short circuit?

    I've got a harness off a 1980 XJ650. If it'll work I can get you a shipping quote and send it to you for 50 plus shipping. I'll also send the extra coils and everything else that goes with it.

    Not trying to put down your work, but in my experience the only problem with old XJ harnesses IS the connectors and fuse box.

    The best way to repair a harness is to replace the connectors and fusebox first.
