Float Needle Identification

    Hi guys, just a question. I have bought and replace the float needles on my Hitachi carbs for my XJ650. i am having problems running it (that is another story, will sync and colortune shortly). My question is this:
    The ones in the carbs before were brass and the ones I received were silver Are they the wrong ones? Bought them from PartsNMore.com

    That shouldn't matter, as long as they fit, the needle tip seals and the clip and Tip fit to the tange of the float alright.

    Nope, shouldn't be any problem with that. Even some of the mixture screws are of different metal. I guess it goes back to what the market price for those metals was for that production time.
