What is the first circular metal piece with gasket on left

    its held on by four screws its directly under the air fins its got some electrical stuff behind cover? 1980 yamaha xj 650 I am looking to replace the gasket after painting and just need to know what to order thanks a bunch

    thats the pick-ups for the ignition in there
    that would be a good cover to make your own gasket

    I typed that part number into google and found it for less than $10 at a few online stores, but it also said that it fit some 1983 models. I just wanted to clarify that this would be the right part for my 1980 xj650.

    It would also fit some 1986 models - - I trust MiCarl has it right.
