I just wanted to vent and inform.
I was refused service today at my local McDonalds simply because I was riding a motorcycle. I went through the drive-thru this evening to order some dinner, after a long ride, and when I pulled up to the window, ( the squak box wouldn't answer me ), the lady started waiving her hands at me and proceeded to tell me that she wasn't going to serve anyone on a motorcycle. I find this not only rude but very discriminating against everyone that rides a motorcycle. How is it possible that you can be refused service just because of what you drive. Next thing you know, they are going to start refusing service to people with dark hair. I have contacted the company number (1-877-353-3032) and there website McDonaldsCare@aol.com and my local A.B.A.T.E office about this. It is just hard to beleive in this day and age, people are still being discriminated against for such petty things.

I've heard of refusing drive through service to pedestrians and bicyclists, but not motorcycles. It may just boil down to that particular franchise, or store, or even employee giving you a hard time. You should be able to contact the franchise office and get their official policy on the issue. I've used the drive through at many of my local fast food joints on the bike without a hitch.

I've used drivethroughs on the bike as well...
I've gone through McDonalds on foot, a bicycle, motorcycle...

My local McDonalds closes the inside restaurant after 12AM but leaves the drive through open 24 hours... so that's when I walk up and knock on the window (from the bar across the street).

She was trying to save your life by refusing to let you eat that disgusting fat-ridden garbage...

    :D

    kidding..

That is odd that they would refuse a motorcycle though...hmm. must just be that local establishment.

    That's pretty odd behavior for a food-retailer.

But it's nothing new, however. Thirty yeas ago, a lot of restaurants would've used their "we reserve the right to..." option for almost anyone pulling up on a bike.

Have you gotten any feedback from McD's Corporate yet?.

To play devil's advocate, when I was an idiot teenager with no other means of income I worked at a fast-food mega-corporation. The way the two-way intercom worked at our particular place meant that if someone pulled up on a motorcycle, air-cooled car (the VW Beetle I drove at the time for instance), diesel truck, etc. it was next to impossible to hear the person trying to order. We'd have to ask them to pull around and come inside.

But seriously... fast food sucks anyway for a million reasons.

I'd hollar at the corporate number too, that is weird. I have used the drive-thru at McNasty's once or twice on the bike. Seems odd that they wouldn't want your money. They may have done you a service as voiced by PghXJ and you keep your money. Another way to look at it is you have better things to put your money into, like a decent meal.

I couldn't get anyone from the Corporate Executive Offices to take my phone call.

They kept transferring my call down to Public Relations ... to some clown named "Ronald"

As Elvis would say: "Sang-gue, sang-gue verra mush!"

LOL...I love this place. Everyone is so understanding and caring. You have missed your calling Rick.
They won't talk to me or return my calls so I just contacted my local A.B.A.T.E chapter. It is a shame, I really didn't want to die healthy.

There is a silver lining...being denied a McDonald's meal will help to preserve your power-to-weight ratio.
