It is my own fault sort of....I did have those plugs out at one time and should have put never seize on them....the last time I tried they were frozen in place....thus rounded bolts....so here is how I now add fork oil....takes over an hour, but works...the small line is for an oil pressure gauge.

You can Drill-out those Front Fork Drains.
    The Screw is soft.
It's OK to enlarge the Drain Hole and Re-Tap Threads for a new Plug.

A Stainless Cap Screw wrapped with Teflon Tape will substitute for the Phillips Screw Plug.

For added protection, ... a Washer and a tight fitting O-ring.

Oh the drain hole is fine....the upper cap is what is frozen...and yes my 'fix' is unusual but keep in mind the funnel is long gone by the time I ride the bike..:) Thus I don't think I quite made it to that site, will keep trying...it is a good one hey?

It's unusual for the Upper Fork Cap to Seize.

Did you loosen the Upper PINCH Bolts when you tried to remove the Cap?

You know I can't remember, I may not have, always pays to read your manual....that was over 10 years ago. I know I had them off once myself to change the oil, but the last time I tried I ended up not being able to do it. Bottom line is I screwed up somehow.....dissimular metals tend to not get along well, and when moisture gets to those aluminim threads can corrode. Just thought if someone else can't get theirs off they would like to know a way to change the shock oil.....
