I have a 1982 XJ650J and was wondering if I could just have one long brake line made for it and do away with the junction block? Has anyone done this? And if so will it work? Any help would be great, Thanks!

Yes you can; yes it will work, and yes it's been done many times. My Norton came with one line direct from master to caliper; Yamaha's fork-mounted junction is a concession to manufacturing flexibility, nothing else.

Thanks Fitz, I just think it would be easier to clock the fittings if there is only two instead of four. maybe even easier to bleed the system.

And if you get ahold of XJ4Ever, I'll be he can hook you up with an assembly that's already "clocked" correctly + DoT approved as an assembly.

DoT-approved fittings do not a DoT approved assembly make. (Geez, channeling Yoda am I.)

Yeah, I already talked to Chacal about my brake lines.
