Just when you're ready with the hose, brushes, shampoo, buffers, polishers, clean pile of athletic socks, Windex, Armoral, McGuires and Mothers ...

Mother Nature says to put all that stuff away and fire-up the Sno-Blower some more!

Which ... at the beginning of the season got ColorTuned ... I can throw snow farther than I ever have before.

Rode the FZR out today, man I love the weather out here (if you can call it weather). If Mommy and Baby weren't supposed to be at the house after school I would have just kept going on down the road. Bosozoku, that is one right pretty picture, you are a blessed man. Wish there were trees out here.

There may not be many big trees in your area, but you've got some great roads of your own to play on- http://www.lateralg.org/sbarbara.htm#3

The pic is in Northern californa, about a day's ride from here. It's also a day's ride from where you are.

You're not lying. It was in the upper 60's Sunday and Monday. Last night it snowed and we'll be in the mid 30's for a few days... right after I get the bike running again.

wtf??!! why isn't there a site like that for my area? That is a great resource for finding good riding roads. Or does one exist for the Western PA area??

Join the forums at http://www.pashnit.com/, and ask about the roads in your own area. Although Pashnit is primarily a California/West Coast website, we've got a lot of members who are from back east, Europe, and Asia.

Nothing beats local knowledge; the difficulty is in finding it.

Their forums are about riding, without any concern for what you ride. Quite a few of us own XJs.
They've also got a lot of eye-watering pics, as the site's secondary strong point is the digital photo sections.

Be warned- you will spend far too much time there, but will probably want to ride a lot more as a result. :D

It's well-below freezing here, but that hasn't stopped me from riding, haha.

hey Rick, I feel your pain brother! That storm brought us about 20" of "mother natures dandruff"! Iheard you guys got alot of ice too. Last sunday I was Sooo close to getting my bike out of storage, now I'm kind of glad I waited. I guess they're calling for another 8-10" for us on wednesday. WTF?

The Mashed Potato, backache-heavy, wet-stuff ... came down in a white-out and knocked-down limbs and whole trees while simultaneously clogging the streets and storm drains ...

    Then, it rained
    Now, it's frozen.
Easter will be colder than Christmas!

I am going to agree with fozziebear and the rest of you on this one. The weather here sucks as well. It was in the mid 60's last week and then had 3 inches of snow dumped on us last weekend. Now its slowly climbing back above 30 with heavy rain expected for the start of next week.... It's like mother nature is trying to prevent me from getting in a serious road test on my "new" 550. Oh well it has to clear up sometime.

I hope you enjoy those fish HVNBND. I cleaned seven plus inches from my cars and driveway and two hours later there was about four more inches on everything. Right now it is 23 degrees with a 10 degree windchill and it is supposed to be in the high 30's to low 40's all next week with rain/snow.
    :(

My son is in Quebec at boot camp, he told me last night that it's been snowing there and swore at me when I told him it was in the 70's here!
    Great day for riding!
