1983 Maxim 750 For Sale Parts or Project $500 Make Offer

    1983 Yamaha Maxim XJ750

    Hate to sell it but we bought a house and need some extra cash for closing. New parts include: Battery, Seat and Sissy bar pad, Petcock (xj4ever Manual conversion) and spark plugs. This bike is 99% complete and even includes the very hard to find side covers. It runs but needs the carbs cleaned big time. The biggest problem is it needs a clutch or ? The bike will run (Not very well because of dirty carbs) but will not move on it's own, clutch is stuck open it would seem? Fix the dents in the tank (Rust free inside), paint it and the side covers and you will have a nice looking bike. Or, use it for parts for your own project bikes. Have a clean title but no keys, the tank opens with a screw driver and there is something stuck in the ignition switch for it to turn. Odometer says 22k but the title says 50k? Doubtful it has 50k but it is worth mentioning. Includes a few other parts not shown. $500 or make offer. Thanks for looking.

    I traded my original seat cover and backrest cover for this set from a custom seat cover maker. He wanted the pattern for his eBay business. One man operation, user name is mac32756 I asked for the red piping for something special. The ones he will sell on eBay will be all black but you might be able to custom order one. Or, you could buy this bike and get this seat lol. His work is excellent. Hope this helps.
