    Just thought I would introduce myself. I live in Michigan but just moved back here after 25 years in Arizona. I will miss riding year round. I have a 1983 Midnight Maxim in excellent shape and ride it as my daily driver even in bad weather. Love the bike.

    Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Posted some pics of my Maxim to a gallery. Still have not figured out how to get a pic for my avatar down to 6kb though. Gettin' close got one down to 8kb, looking for some different photo editing software.

    Welcome from another 83 midnight maxim owner. Yours a bit nicer looking than mine but I'm working on it. Your side covers and other gold looks great. Did you have it redone, buy new ones, or is that (somehow) the original gold. My side covers and grab rails are oxidized and flaking.

    T Moose, it is all original and I was amazed when I saw her. I had been driving all over Michigan looking at bikes and it was not only one of the cleanest ones I saw it was very cheap. Bought it from a 20 year old who traded a bobber for it and was planning on doing the same to it. Glad I saved it. She may be one of the cleanest MM's still in existence.
