    Hello ~)

Apparently there seem to be 3 locations on the bottom half of the crankshaft case, just need to verify what the the other 2 are/do apart from the Oil filter location, One has a certain element/device screwed tight by 2 bolts & there's a wire coming out of it too which isnt connected to the wiring harness, Probably a oil level indicator wire?

Besides, does one need to dis-mantle all the plugs beneath the engine to drain oil completely? also there's a slight oil leak on the cover in which the neutral light is soldered (under the front sprokcket) i can clearly see a tiny hole in it so im pretty certain that's why there's oil, Is it just the cover i need to replace?

    Appreciate all thoughts
    Ty :)

From your description, I think your right on about the oil level sensor. It should be plugged in however.
As for the Neutral sensor, I'm not familar with the 400 so I'd be only willing to suggest that you could pull the sensor, clean very throughly and re-pot it with fresh epoxy. Failing that, a new sensor should clear it up.
    Good luck.

Only the oil filter housing and the drain bolt immediately below it are used for changing oil.

Robert nailed it on the other two. Easy fixes, if the exhaust system doesn't spoil the party.
