Hoses you should get new. 4 year life span according to yamaha.

Sig says 650 post says 550. I have the caliper for a 650.

Is the caliper on the 650 on the left side? I was thinking it was on the right, in which case it wouldn't work. How much for it?

The 650 Maxim caliper is on the left, as is the 550 Maxim caliper.

However, the two are completely different and require a different master cylinder. To replace either you need one from the same bike; they're that NOT interchangeable.

And you do need to replace the hoses. They deteriorate from the inside and you won't "see" a failure until one pops on you.

Hoses had a four year life span; caliper and master cylinder seals had a TWO YEAR lifespan.

So be sure you plan to rebuild any caliper or master cylinder you find; used parts are used parts.
