Hello from New England area

Hi there I have been doing research on this site for about a month and I figured it was about time I signed up. I was lucky to have been given through a friend of a friend a 82 xj750 maxim. The previous owner was cleaning out the garage for a newer bike and wanted to get rid of it no hassle. The catch being that the bike had been taken apart by a repair shop for a "tune-up" unbeknown to the owner who did not want to spend the money for new gaskets and reassembly. So for the last few months I rebuilt the head and cleaned up the cylinder jugs and figured out what parts go where (seeing how I did not disassemble this bike). I'm leaving the carbs untouched for the moment until I get the top end back together. Everything on this bike is surprisingly clean and I hope to have it back together and looking like new all around in a few months. Withmy own personal touches. I'm sure I will have questions soon about adjusting the carbs so if anybody can drop a lnk on that I would be gratefully. tAlso i applogise for typos I'm using a phone.
