    Re: 02' FJ1300 front end on a 95' xj900 diversion? any advic

If you haven't done so, check this link out

    http://www.allballsracing.com/22-1004.html

    Also try: www ohiocaferacers.com

They don't list the US FJR1300, but do list the Euro XJR 1300, so I'm going to assume they are the same bike with different badging. With all things being equal, it appears to be a direct swap if the XJR and FJR are one in the same bike, because the steering head bearing set is the same for the 1300 and the 900 Diversion. This is a good indicator of a good swap choice. Juts my two cents.

I've swapped a GSXR750 front onto a XJ650 with help from the two links above.

great info thanks mate! i feel happier now!
sorry my mistake- its actually an XJR1300!

I just picked it up today and they sold me the complete front end, right down to the triples/bearings/dash/headlight/master cyls/bars/switches/wiring loom etc. only problem is the front wheel has a bad rash and one disc is smashed.

Im just sitting down to a coffee after 18hrs on the road. Ill start stripping it soon and try the triples into the frame and keep you guys posted.

love the blue dot calipers and the big headlight...

just fitted it up. slotted straight in with no problems. The forks are actually about 15mm longer and are 43mm rather than the 41mm of the D900.

its strange but the xjr discs are smaller! (about 295mm on the xjr as opposed to 320mm of the diversion).

the triples look great and the headlight holders/headlight and guages look tidy on it. only mod I can see will be to remove the fairing bracket mount from the headstock as it hits the headlight bucket...
    will update some pics tomorrow...

Bring on some pics. Also does the 900 brakes have brackets to offset the calipers for the larger rotors? if so, you may be able to run the 320mm rotors on the 1300 front end

sorry for the sidwys pic. just ended up that way! this is it with the xjr13 front end. unfortunately the spacing between the rotors is even different.
shame as i like the bigger rotors. still looking into it though... [IMG][IMG]
