I have header gaskets and a parts bike.

Other than wanting a helper, how difficult would it be to wiggle on 4 headers, install collector mounting bolt and get mufflers nearly lined up WITHOUT taking off all pipes seperately (and replacing ALL of the gasket$$)

not that bad as long as you have 2 people to do it. I have done it on a couple bikes.

Fist off, as long as they're not damaged, the pipe-to-collector gaskets should be OK; you'll want to loosen those clamps so the pipes can move about a bit.

It's much easier if you can pull the mufflers; and then get a helper.

My "running" bike's left muffler is JAMMED on and I can see warped gasket material sticking out. I may get it off, but no luck yet.

Other than some blue-ing parts bike exhaust system looks way better over all. I can try to loosen those mufflers when I get a chance.

is either the best thing EVER or I'm extremely lucky!

I just loosened 16 header bolts (2 bikes) with VERY minimal effort (and 1 hammer tap on the rustiest of them).

Granted I did liberally spray them 2 or 3 nights ago, but I was quite shocked and amazed!
