Would you be interested in an xj550 Maxim tank? I understand it fits an xj650 Maxim. Tank is dent/ding/rust free - $95. Here's my ad with a photo:

Just wondering if that tank price would include shipping?

Parcel Post (cheapest) to Imperial, CA is $16, I'd split that cost with you. $103 shipped.

If that works for you, PM with your email address where I can send hi-rez photos.

    PayPal preferred.

Thanks Chacal. However, there was some misinformation to the contrary that I found, but not from a trusted source and it didn't go into any detail. As always, we appreciate our resident guru ;)

No problem, actually it appears that a 550 owner (slomo85) expressed interest with a reply. It will sell sooner or later.

I have 2 650 tanks and a 750 tank available. One of the 650 tanks has a small leak in it and the other came off my bike you can see it in the pictures in my gallery, its the one I painted.

The 750 maxim tank fits beautifully and I think looks better line wise it has a small dent in it near the fill spout. I also have an original gascap on the 750 right now that will fit both.
