Petcock going in the wrong direction?

    So after looking at several pictures on here I believe my petcock is pointing in the wrong direction. Aren't the hoses supposed to point towards the back of the bike? Mine are pointed towards the front, and there is very little room for the hoses. Is this right? I cannot see another way to mount it in the other direction.

    Yes, they are. The hoses should point "rear"ward.

    It's probably the wrong petcock, if it were simply mounted backward the lever would be to the inside.

    Either that, or somebody rebuilt it and attached both the outlet pipe flange AND the vacuum plate in the wrong orientation; and then just decided to go ahead and bolt it up anyway.

    Show us a pic.
    They should be pointing to the rear, you might have the wrong petcock.

    Thats what I suspected :( so it can be rebuilt the right way or do i need a new one?
