Well, when I bought my bike, there was a small dent on the gas tank. It is about 3 and a half inches wide and probably only 1/2 - 3/4 inches deep (if not thinner). It's located about 7 1/2 - 8 inches (if not closer) to the gas cap. It's nothing really major, just ugly to look at. Sooo, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to get it out, without having to repaint it and such. I have done some research and there are multiple ways but I wanted your guys' input. What do you think would be the easiest way?

I know a guy that thinks since it is rather shallow and not too far away from the gas cap that I should just try and pry it out. Is this a good idea? I also have heard of bono (i think it's what it is called) just to fill it in and paint it. I don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so Much!

You can try a lump of dry ice, shape it to the dent & hold it on there.

I would try to work it out from the inside first, just be sure not to muck up the opening. if you cant get it all out or the paint gets screwed up when you try then you can bondo and paint it.

Would the dry ice affect the paint in any way? I've heard this is a decent idea but am not totally convinced with dry ice.

From the pic it does not look to have any creases. I would try using one of those suction cup dent pullers. They are used in paintless dent repair.

Also. There are several vids on youtube about paintless dent repair.

Well I am going to try and heat it up with a hair dryer and then cool it with dry ice. Any last helpful tips?
