PREFACE: Oh this is just too sad. My husband and I started building project bikes to be able to ride together. We had got pretty far along on both machines when it was discovered that he has a spinal injury that is inoperable (beforehand we had been told that he had a shoulder issue that would be easily fixed so we'd been moving forward with both projects until it was discovered that it was much more serious). It involves vertebra T7 and if he should fall there is a good chance he'd be paralyzed. He's ridden since 1973 and motorcycles were his whole life. He decided to quit the hobby altogether to avoid the temptation so he won't get hurt and put me in a position of caring for him for the rest of our lives. We have hundreds of hours of time in this 1982 XJ650J and a good deal of money as well. So as they say, our misfortune is your gain. We need to part out both bikes to pay ongoing medical bills (his is a different bike, selling elsewhere). So I'll be placing a series of ads here in this forum that detail groups of parts as we go along. Best wishes, Abeja.

This ad is for the FRONT END

The front end is straight and pitless. And ... it comes with a set of Progressive Suspension 11-1106 springs as well as a set of All Balls 56-121 fork seals. The springs and seals have not been installed yet so if you don't want them we can work that out. The forks legs have been really worked over very thoroughly. They looked just terrible before we worked our brains out getting them to look nice. Lower triple clamp had been stripped clean and painted with very high quality Duplicolor gloss black enamel, and the upper triple clamp has been completely stripped of all paint and finish and is completely bare aluminum. Comes complete with the reworked pront brake caliper (no piston) and the front sterring tube hardware. I can throw in the front axle if you like as well as the front axle fasteners. It took us a while to locate really nice triple clamps and legs to get this front end to be a good one, jsyk. Includes a brand new set of preinstalled All Balls steering head bearings, and the reworked front brake caliper (it does not include the piston or the seal kit for the caliper).

    So you get:
** Progressive Suspension 11-1106 front spring kit.
** All Balls 65-121 Fork Seals.
** All Balls Steering Head Bearings, Races, and Seals kit preinstalled on the steering tube.
    ** Reworked Upper Triple Clamps.
    ** Reworked Lower Triple Clamps.
    ** Reworked Lower Fork Legs.
    ** Reworked Front Brake Caliper.
    ** Front End mounting hardware.
** Includes stock fork springs as well!

$250.00 for the complete front end ... plus S/H to your location.

Subtract $25.00 if you don't want the installed brand new All Balls steering head bearings w/races.

Subtract $25.00 if you don't want the brake caliper (it will need your piston).

All prices must have S/H added on.

This is a great deal! The front springs, fork seals, and steering head bearing kit are worth nearly $135.00 by themselves. Not to mention the work put into getting them looking like they do now. They're arrow straight, great surfaces (nothing to tear up the new seals), and are ready to go Eddie! :)

    Thank you!

Best wishes and be well .... Abeja.
