Just wondering if any of the Aussie riders here could help with a electronic flasher type that I could replace my original with?
A part/model number would be great so that I could go to Supercheap, Repco etc to pick one up.

My electrics are a XJ900 setup with separate flasher and cancelling unit.

Next problem: I have these aftermarket lights to put on the front. Running 10w bulbs.
Test off the bike - lights OK
Test attached to bike electrics but not fitted works
Test attached to bike electrics and fitted into faring frame - Blows fuse.

I've checked the wiring and used liquid electrical tape on the little bit of exposed wire near soldering but am a little stumped.

If I use the original flasher relay I get no lights, a quick buzzing sound from the relay but no blown fuse.
If I run without front indicators connected rear indicators work OK.

fitted to frame, blows fuse......reverse the wires.
or only use one wire (+) to the bulb and let the housing be the negative connection

You know sometimes you just need that extra set of eyes! Thanks Polock. As soon as I read your post I did a big Homer Doh!

Amazing that I just assumed the wiring on the indicator lens would be the same as the bike lol.

    Thanks mate :)

FYI I managed to fit a CF13 3 pin to my xj750. Brown is + and connects to B+ pin, the Brown/White is your BULB side which connects to L pin. Lastly, you need to connect E- to the frame or and earth wire. You can leave the Yellow/Green wire, which is your auto off trigger.
