    I am curious about the semi open pipes with the driveshaft output. Must be some highly technical fabrication work with the 12 extra valves to get the exhaust to drive the bike.

    Little does the guy know. He killed the value of the bike with the flat black spray bomb paint. It is the gold accents that seperate the midnight from just another Maxim

    Isnt that a 750 and werent they 5 valves per, the bikes a mess but the 750 was different than the 650 were

    Only the 700/750 MaximX had the 20 valve motor.

    The bike in the cL add is an 83 750 Midnight Maxim. That is a standard 8 valve engine (1 intake, 1 Exhaust per cylinder).
    The 85-86 700/750 Maxim X are the only XJ series bikes that came with the 5 valves per cylinder.
