Deja Vu, this has come up before;) You have a GPS? They give your speed, I use one on mine most of the time. Even on a smart phone you can get a speedo app. Living in the future is boss.

60-65 surprises me to hear since I am usually faster than a decent amount of cars on the hwy.

GPS app time it is....just have to get a decent mount so I dont destroy my phone :)

I once made, then found another, chart giving RPM vs. MPH in each gear.

In 5th, at 5k, you are going 68 or 63.6...depending on the chart you believe.

That's for a XJ650J though. I haven't confirmed with GPS...too much traffic to care about speed, only going as fast as absolutely necessary, I'm a hypermiler.

does anyone know about how much lower on the RPMs you can get when you do the Seca rear wheel swap.

I want to do it but its not real cost effective if it only goes down a few hundred RPM
