Broke tonight. Do I have an easy way of reattaching it to the lever or am I in need of a new cable immediately? Thanks.

Unless you are handy with a soldering iron.....no. I hear the sound of money heading towards XJ4EVER :) For next time - make sure you've got grease on every surface that rubs around the cable nipple area...

I'm pretty handy with the soldering iron. I was wondering about that. Worried that it wouldn't hold though as my experience has been mostly with relatively low strees points in cables and small electronics.
