I have a 83 XJ750, I replaced the starting solenoid, ignition switch and check the starting electric switch for corrosion, it's been replaced as well. I get nothing, the starter will crank, I've tapped it to positive power so it isn't seized but I'm not sure what else to look at. Fuses are good, I get power to lights and horn. But no start, not even a crank off the switch. Any ideas?

    Hi Colton,
Maybe its the groovy safety switch relay!
It's located under the tank near the rear.
Make sure the kill switch is on and the sidestand is up(put it on the centre stand), put it in neutral.
With the tank up or off turn the ignition on... you ought to hear an audible click from the relay.
Likewise if you put it into first gear the relay ought to disengage the starter circuit... another click.
    You get the picture.
Clutch switch will bypass the neutral gear requirement to engergise the starter circuit.

    Good luck!

I'll check that out and let you know. I also notice the neutral light doesn't come on, on my gauge cluster. Maybe neutral switch bad as well? But would still ruin with clutch in if neutral switch was bad wouldn't it?

I did some searching of my own and figured it out, I'll try replacing the relay and see if that works.
