    81 Yamaha Seca Special

    At first I looked at this and thought, nah, that's not a Seca at all. Then I realized that it does share a lot of things with the 750 Secas. Looks more like an XS than an XJ to me, but that front end is sure Secaish.

    And before you ask, no I'm not interesting in buying this hulk. Just curious about what it is!

    Yup - as he said - heavily modified Yamaha XS with a bunch of XJ parts - mostly Seca.

    Looks like an XJ front wheel. No idea about the rear. It actually looks like a Honda wheel to me, but obviously you can't see it well.

    I poked around on the Yamaha parts site. Rear wheel and engine look like they match an '81 SX650SH (SX 650 Special?). The whole front end looks like an XJ750Rn (seca).

    It's a Frankenstein of parts, half 650 special and half Seca.

    found out that it could be 750 aparently you can can fit xv750 pistons etc if you can find someone to do the engineering

    looks like a POS to me, but you could chop it and make something....poor guy didnt even get his $50 opening bid....
