Not sure if this is the right place to post this but....

I have an 82 Seca 750 that I am rebuilding. Its original color is Silver and has some stripes decals that goes with it.

I am looking at changing the color scheme to Black and wondering if the Black XJ comes with stripes on the tank and under seat to tail plastic.

I think Bigfitz53 has a Black 550 with a swirl decal on the tank.

Did the XJ750 come with such decals?

Where could I possibly go that would show me the Color Scheme of these bikes in in 1982.

    Thanks

Thanks Bushy. That is one that I was thinking of. Not sure if there are others.

    whereabouts are you in OZ?

Yeah I know it is a bit of a goose chase, but I have a mob that can recreate a set if I can give them a good photo and a tank to work with. How good that would be remains to ne seen.

    Cheers

Did you have any luck getting the decals? I am looking to do up the paint job on my xj750RH.

    Have a good one.

No, I did not. I wrote to Chacal and he was looking at getting some made up....but that may be a while yet. So Still chasing up....althoght not as hard as I could be. I hve been spending time trying to get my RD350LC together.

Is this for th ebike from Tassie? I did not think that they came with decals.

Sorry for the late reply, work...

No, I picked this bike up in Vic about 6 months ago, and plan to restore. So no real rush.

I have had one suppler report back if they had an original, they could make a set, so was thinking about how to remove the ones I have on the bike as they are in good condition, just not good enough after painting.

Let me know how you get on, thanks for your time.

    Regards,
    Troy

you may find removing them may cause then to tear.

I have the same issue here with a supplier needing "an original"

If you have a good set, perhaps the best way forward would be to get some tracing paper and go over them and then cut out the shape. I do not think that they are all that fussed about the color scheme...more so the actual shape.

Alternately, get a good tank and make out your own shape and see if they can use that.

let us know how you go.

    Cheers
