    I just found out the part I need is now discontinued from the dealer. I need part number 5G2-12210-02-00. The cam chain tensioner assembly. It's for a 1982 Maxim 650.     I actually had ordered the part from yamaha the other day and they called me today to do a refund as the part is now discontinued. :(

    Too bad, but that is becoming a common theme at the dealership for our aging bikes.

    And hence the cross reference list I posted for you. If it's gotta come out of another bike, you now know all the bikes from which the part will fit yours.

    What's wrong with your old one??? Split case or stripped thread.

    Stripped thread can be redone with a larger bolt or helicoiled.

    Bikebandit showed it Discontinued as well, But PowerSportsPro showed it in stock(needs to be verified) but that puppy runs an amazing $82.52 !

    Here is a site for a Motorcycle Recycler in NC Motor Cycle Recycle Center I've ordered some parts from him for a decent price, And another with an Ebay site CrCycle that I called and got some parts as well for a good price.
