Hey i'm currently working on my bike. 82 seca 750. I rebuilt the carbs and was going through and syncrnizing, and color tuning. anyways i was having problems reading cylinders 3-4 on color tuning stage. it was black in the view window. the bike runs smooth and idles smooth. . but because of that black window i gently pulled on the boot for the plug wires, on those two cylinders, ( checking the wires and boots out for possible damage causing issues) and they came off super easy.. well anyways, how do I go about replacing those boots /ends? Do i have to replace the whole coil pack or can i get just new ends, or wires?

The plug caps screw onto/into the wires. There is a threaded "spike" in the plug cap that screws into the core of the wire.

Carefully, cleanly 'lop' about 1/4" ~ 3/8" off the ends of the wires and then screw the caps back on. Don't overtighten (so as to not strip out the center of the wires again.)

If you find yourself in a situation where the copper wires have corroded further into the plug casing beyond the 1/4 inch or so cut back, find some 10 or 12 AWG stranded wire and shove some one inch strands into the existing plug wire to partially rebuild the connection and give some meat for the plug cap to screw into. Yes, temporary fix, however, it does work.
